COMPANY BACKGROUND
Malaysia Transformer Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (MTM) has been a pioneer for transformers manufacturing in Malaysia. Incorporated in January 1977, MTM became a wholly owned subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Berhad in 2007.
We have an annual capacity to produce power and distribution transformers up to 5000 MVA/year or equivalent to 168 units of 30MVA power transformers and 2500 MVA/year or equivalent to 2500 units of 1000 kVA distribution transformers. In addition, we also provide a broad range of services including installation, commissioning, testing, on-site service, repairing and refurbishment of transformers.
In 2008, MTM accounted to about 60% share in the Distribution transformers market in Malaysia, and 15.9% in the overall South East Asian market .(Source: Frost & Sullivan). Our status as a leader in the market is attested by being the recipient for Frost & Sullivan’s South East Asia Growth Strategy Leadership Award 2009.
MTM enter into another major milestone as being the first TNB’s subsidiary to receive the ISO9001:2008, ISO14001:2004 and OSHAS18001:2007 certificates under the Integrated Management System.
